We dogs appreciate how, for the most part, you human types treat us as family members and as a species worthy of love and respect.  When the dogs get together, we often share sad stories of situations where humans treat other humans much more poorly than they treat dogs!  We would therefore submit that the Golden Rule be amended to state;" treat others the way you would treat your best dog."
